The four songs of the EP each tell a story that deals with their own inner tensions. The opener Blackbox Paradise already captures the basic mood: how do I behave in negative life situations or a crisis? What does the moment of indecision teach me, the great vacuum, the unknown that is so challenging?
This is the mood that the second track Monsters picks up on. It is meant to motivate you to face your own memories and learn from them for the future. Free yourself from your demons and set out! From the retrospective will often learn a lot, but are equally held back by bad memories. Monsters wants to separate the good from the bad and set out.
With Faded Eyes, a hopeful and clear message is to be conveyed. If Monsters was still trapped in its own past, the third track of the EP is to initiate a departure. Faded Eyes seeks a goal, a hope that we can hold on to, regardless of the past, and what is yet to come.
The conclusion of the EP is meant to be a liberation strike with Black Scars. Shout out your fears and worries, free yourself from what weighs you down!
