Raventador – Band introduction

Founded in 2019, the quartet from Thürigen plays classic hard rock with influences from blues, country and also a pinch of stoner. Within a few months – intensive months in the “Rabennest”, as the band likes to call their rehearsal room, Pit (vocals, guitar), Sebastian (guitar), Johannes (bass) and Erik (drums) test the basic concept for their EP “From Ash and Embers“, which is then recorded, produced and marketed in DIY fashion in October 2020 – with success. In 2020, the online blog Musiknah named them stage talent of the year with the EP.

Review

The new edit did the song a lot of good. Introduced by a richer, more open tom intro, which now opens the coming 4:28 like bush drums, the mix grooves over the entire length. Bassline and vocal tracks now also harmonize better with the guitars, although the bassline could even have been given more space in parts. The Warwick-like sound fits the mood and the theme of the arrangement. Paired with very clear, socio-critical lines, the song turns into a “press repeat” number.
